I worked on this project with Ohh Deer to bring their new Silly Beans plush key ring range to life. A character-led accessory collection designed to be playful, collectible, and instantly lovable. The project began with developing the core concept: creating a cast of expressive, personality-driven “bean” characters that felt small, squishy, and joyfully chaotic. From initial sketches through to refined character design, we shaped each Bean with its own distinct silhouette, colour palette, and emotional identity to ensure the range felt cohesive while still offering individuality. Beyond visual development, I crafted the branding direction for the range, defining tone of voice, naming conventions, and character biographies to build an emotional connection between product and customer. Each Silly Bean was given a unique backstory and personality traits, transforming them from simple plush accessories into collectible characters with charm and narrative depth. Working closely with Ohh Deer’s team, I supported the product development process from concept through to production. This included refining materials, proportions, and detailing to ensure the plush translated successfully from 2D design into a tactile, high-quality 3D product. The result is a playful, character-driven plush key ring range that combines strong branding, thoughtful storytelling, and commercially viable product design.
